Winter Kid Style [with Crazy 8]

This post is sponsored by Crazy 8. All opinions are entirely and wholeheartedly my own.

Hello, Winter! I’m a huge fan of winter (okay, just California winters – no snow storms and continuous days of below freezing temps for this sun-loving girl), and I’m a huge fan of winter fashion. It’s been fun jumping into the cold-weather clothes style this season with my kids, and Crazy 8 sure has made getting dressed each morning more enjoyable.

Crazy 8 has something for everyone, ranging in ages 6 months to 14 years. Whether you’re stocking up on good deals, grandma is gifting something new, or your bigger kid is into style and picking out his/her own wardrobe, Crazy 8‘s clothes are quality, unique, and on-point with the ever-changing fashion world. This amazing clothing brand prides themselves on catering to kid individuality. From the fun designs (um, please check out Luca’s yeti t-shirt!) to the comfort and coziness, as well as the stylin’ accessories to the top-notch quality (not to mention the great deals and ease on mama’s wallet), Crazy 8 is making everyone in my house happy (and warm!) this winter.

Winter Kid Style Musts

Winter can be a tricky season to dress kids for, no matter where you live. Check out my kid-pleasing winter style musts to keep kids (+ mama) happy, warm, and full of cheer all season long!

  • Layer up! > Yep. All day, every day. Temps vary from morning to afternoon mostly everywhere, so freezing mornings loading up in the car to head to preschool need major bundling, while outside playtime in the afternoon with the sun shining bright requires a long-sleeve t-shirt and maybe a lightweight hoodie. Thankfully, Crazy 8 makes layering looks easy when shopping their “Outfit Shop.”

  • Bright colors > Winter can bring some pretty gloomy-feeling days, so cheer up everyone’s moods with bright-colored clothing, fun prints (hello, plaid and animal), and even neat textures and fabrics (flannel screams winter, amiright!?).

  • Elastic waistbands > For those little-big kids still gaining confidence with the potty, make their life (and yours) easier by going with pants/bottoms with elastic waistbands. They’ve got plenty of years ahead for buttons and zippers.

  • Add fun accessories > Sunnies are an everyday must for my kids (yes, even when it’s cloudy or rainy out, and yes, they’re honorary Aussies). And Crazy 8‘s sunnies are the highest quality I’ve found (without breaking the bank for kid’s sunnies, for goodness sake). Beanies add a fun winter element to their style, too (and they make me feel better about covering London’s not-so full head of fine, thin hair). And socks. Fun socks make shoe-tying practice a heackofalot more enjoyable for all involved.
